District 9 is elated to share the news of our upcoming Area 64 Archives Workshop on November 4, 2006 at The Fourth Dimension in Crossville from 1:30-4:30 PM (CST).  The presenters at the workshop include our newly elected Area 64 Archives Chair, Joe C., our Area 64 Archivist David L., our past Area 64 Archives Chair Tom N., and our Area 64 Archives Coordinator, Charles M.  Tom N.'s talk on The Oxford Group and The Washingtonian Group, along with his personal collection of archives, is still being discussed throughout the district after the Archives Workshop hosted March 4, 2006.  We're grateful to have the opportunity to record Tom's presentation at this workshop.  We welcome Joe C.,  and look forward to him sharing his experience as the newly elected Area 64 Archives Chair.  We thank Charles M., the Area 64 Archives Coordinator for helping plan and prepare for this workshop, as a strong member of the District 9 Archive Committee, who always has much to share.  The real coup of this workshop is having David L., our Area 64 Archivist in attendance.  As always, we appreciate the vast knowledge and experience David so graciously shares, reigniting the fire of AA within those of us on the District 9 Archives Committee. On display at the workshop will be the Area 64 Traveling Archives, Tom N. 's personal archives collection, and the District 9 Archives repository and showcase.  We ask all members interested to join us.

The District 9 Fall Picnic follows the workshop on November 5 at the Obed River Park (rain location, The Fourth Dimension) starting at noon (CST).  We invite you to attend both events.

The District 9 Archives Committee meets on the third Wednesday of every month at The Fourth Dimension at 6 PM.  All members are welcome to attend.  We appreciate your support.
