***********

Area 64 Archives Website paid up for two years $186.48 that's about .26 cents a day.        2006-2007
This was done close to time of rotation so that the upcoming committee doesn't have to worry about this for the two years of their service. Seems to work well like that.
Purchased  lockable mailbox $65.81
Purchased  miscellaneous supplies for Archives $195.03
Purchased L-50 Canon Cartridge $139.00  approx 4000 copies per cartridge = $0.03475 per printed copy.
The toner cartridge was purchased along with a $10.00 coupon and also was tax exempt. This is behind the scenes work that is unnoticed unless you are the servant at work. Most all of us know what that's like. We went to the trouble to set up tax exemption at Staples so a lot of our office supplies are purchased there. Its not every quarter the coupon is available to us but often times it is. We are hard at work in this Committee and would invite your assistance , there are many different things that you might do. Just contact our Chairman or coordinator and they will get ya going.

Help Needed

We are seeking someone that can come to Archives one Saturday a month to key in inventory of the tapes that are being organized by Jeff G. This will be simple info being added to a database that will be searchable using dates, names, cities, etc. Also one of our goals is to take selected tapes and transfer to the latest medium cd or dvd. If you have some computer experience and would like to help please notify Area 64 Archives coordinator Charles M. (901)289-1549

Accept The Things We Cannot Change

It is with heavy heart that I am passing on info of our dear friend and past chair of Area 64 Corrections Committee Ray R. He was 57 years old and would have celebrated 12 years sober end of June this year. Just spoke to his wife Sherry, so if we could please keep her and her family in our prayers. She told me that in Dec. he was diagnosed with bronchitis, then later lung cancer and problems with his heart. His cancer had spread to the lymph nodes and his bones.

Ray had served as alt. chair then as chairperson for Area 64 committee, and had taken meetings into McMinnville facilities. After his CFC commitment, he had persued a native American spiritual journey, which brought him much joy. The last  time that I saw him he was in Murfreesboro Assembly in Native dress, happy and smiling.. He went to the spirit world on Sunday March 12,2006, and will be missed. We love you Ray...
Respectfully submitted, Mandy S., Area 64 CFC Chairperson
