A Bright Future

A big Thanks goes out to Paul G. of Murfreesboro for his overseeing the exterior lighting situation at Area 64 Archives. We have two outdoor lights that have been somewhat of a problem for quite awhile. The one on the street side has been making a very loud noise for 1 1/2 years. It was reported to maintenance on two occasions. Things like this go un-noticed and mention should be made.
Thank You Paul and all who assisted you.
We Appreciate You.

Traveling Archives

Just shortly before Charlie's death he returned the Traveling Archives to Area 64 Archives for inventory. Everything was laid out and separated . There were a few items that were not good for public display and were removed. E.g. Photos materials marked confidential, irreplaceable items. They have been placed for future inventory and their permanent home @ Archives. Some damage is to be expected in Traveling Archives. Each time you transport and setup, takedown and return home there is room for accidents. If it can happen it will happen. Just the change in humidity and temperature has a great effect on these precious memories. So we will replace certain things with copies. Unless there is multiple copies that are replaceable. We understand that it just isn't the same having copies but remember our mission is to not do any damage to our archives that cannot be undone. If you have any AA related items that you would like to donate to the Traveling Archives please feel free to do so. Contact Joe C. our chairman and he will be glad to assist you.

What Can I Do?

There are lots of needs @ Area 64 Archives. Just pick a Saturday between te hours of 10 am and 3 pm and let us know you are available to do some service work. There is always a need to be met. The service of cleaning, dusting, trash removal are things few are willing to do. There is a need for technical things like the tape archivial project. Computer skills are needed to database the inventory of our Archives. If you are curious about Area 64 Archives and would like to be more than just a title and would like to actually participate and get hands on then please let Joe C. know of your desire. It is a great Honor & a Priviledge to be a servant in Alcoholics Anonymous Archives.
