The weekend of July 6 thru 9 was an awesome experience for me!  For the third year in a row I was invited back to the Music City roundup to share my collection of AA books, magazines, early pamphlets etc. The great thing about this (non AA) event is not only is it wonderfully organized with speakers, workshops, discussion meetings, and entertainment, but a lot of folks in attendance plan a vacation around this event and come back year after year. I have gotten to know groups from New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Ontario, Canada, Mississippi, etc., and will hopefully see them again next year. When Sue and I went to Akron in May, we met Dave P. who works at Dr. Bob's house as a volunteer and he showed up at the Music City Roundup and helped me with my display, which enabled me to take my 2:00 P.M. nap on Friday and Saturday. The speaker that closed the event, Lew R. from Chilliwack B.C., called me a week later to say how much he enjoyed the event. I want to say the folks that makeup the host committee are always super nice to us and we love them all.

Since the last Precious Memories, I attended a workshop with Charlie M. and David L. in Chattanooga at the Hixson Group. It was well attended with food and fun. Thanks to those folks for the invitation!

Charlie M. just called to tell me that we are invited back to Crossville in November for another achieves workshop. It is always nice to be invited back anywhere!

Thank you for allowing me to help anyway I can with the Area 64 Archives!

Typo or What ?

In the Third Edition Bigbook on page 180 it says "That was June 10, 1935, and that was my last drink. As I write nearly four years have passed.
In the New & Revised Edition it reads "As I write nearly six years have passed."
It was written as four years in the fourth edition as well. Is this a typo or does anyone have an explanation.

Jeff G. has been working on the tapes for about one year now. Area 64 Archives Committee would like to take this little space and say a Great Big Thanks to Jeff for all the hard work he has put into his sobriety in Area 64 Archives, not to mention the folks that had worked in that area long before Jeff came along. There had been more than one inventory and it was difficult to categorize in a way that would work well in the database Jeff is setting up. Jeff was able to find a way to utilize the previous inventories without re inventing the wheel however. There has been work going on that would normally not be seen or heard of. There are several hindered tapes that he has physically rewound, categorized, inventoried and is in the process of adding them to a spreadsheet/ database that can be accessed and directed to lets say Joe S. Type in Joe S and it will retrieve him as well as other Joes. So it will be nice to find your first sponsor or someone by his or her first name. These computers are amazing creatures kind of like alcoholics.

Thanks Jeff G. and keep up the God Work.

You know that Pink Cloud that everyone talks about in AA? It does not have to Crash.
Simply keep putting Spiritual fuel into it.        Daggerrose
