Principals Before Personalities

Big Book page 564
Twelve--Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our Traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities.
Have you seen the pull down scrolls that spell principals instead of principles? Is this a typo or is there another explanation?

District 9 Archives Report

July 16, 2006

Greetings from the District 9 Archives Committee to all of our AA friends. We hope all of you are having a sober and wonderful summer and enjoying this year one day at a time.

The Area 64, District 9 Archives Committee continues to meet once a month, usually at locations in Cookeville and Crossville. We regularly have at least 5 to 6 members in attendance, with continued interested being generated within the district. Our last meeting was at the Fourth Dimension in Crossville, TN on June 27, 2006 at 6:00 PM CST with 6 members present. Our next meeting will be at 2nd and Cedar in Cookeville, TN on July 26, 2006 at 6:30 PM CST. Please stop by on your travels through the state and see us. We welcome anyone from the Area who wishes to attendant one of our committee meetings or see the District 9 Archives repository located at the Fourth Dimension.

District 9 AA members continue to donate items and an inventory is in process. Our permanent repository is located at the Fourth Dimension in Crossville, with several cabinets containing the donated items. A wall cabinet was hung by Archive Committee members and several items are on display. This display has created much interest from members attending meetings at the Fourth Dimension and throughout the district.

District 9 voted at the last district meeting to have the District 9 Archives Committee make arrangements for the district to host an Area 64 Archives workshop this fall. This is in the planning stage. A preliminary date of November 4, 2006 was chosen and the Fourth Dimension in Crossville, TN was picked as the location. The plans and a flier will be completed shortly and made available to everyone in Area 64.

If you would like to have more information on the District 9 Archives Committee, please contact one of the committee members. Come and see us if you get a chance.

By God's Grace,
District 9 Archives Committee Chairperson,
Dale G., Gainesboro, TN
